Celebrating and supporting North Harbour’s rising stars

One of the North Shore’s most prestigious annual events returns on Saturday 21 November, when the North Harbour Club hosts the 2026 AIMES Youth Excellence Awards Gala Dinner at Auckland’s Grand Millennium Hotel. Celebrating outstanding young people from across the North Harbour region, the awards recognise excellence in fields including arts, innovation, music, sport, education and service to the community.

This year’s gala promises an unforgettable Broadway-inspired evening, complete with show-stopping entertainment, inspiring award presentations and a gourmet three-course dinner. Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme with formal, cocktail or Broadway-inspired attire, adding an extra touch of glamour to what is always a highlight on the region’s social calendar.

More than just an awards ceremony, the AIMES Gala is an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable achievements of North Harbour’s talented young people while enjoying an evening alongside community leaders, business supporters and past AIMES alumni. The event also helps support the North Harbour Club’s ongoing commitment to recognising and encouraging youth excellence.

Tables of ten and individual tickets are now available, with demand expected to be high. If you’re looking for an evening that combines inspiration, entertainment and community spirit, this is one event not to miss. Secure your place and join the celebration of North Harbour’s brightest young stars.

Le Cirque du Golf returns for 2027

Get ready for one of the most entertaining days on the North Shore golfing calendar when the North Harbour Club and Charitable Trust presents Le Cirque du Golf on Thursday 11 March 2027 at Waitematā Golf Club. Designed to be light-hearted, fun and full of surprises, this unique event combines great golf with plenty of laughter, all while raising funds to support North Harbour youth through the Club's annual excellence awards programme.

Open to golfers of all abilities, the tournament follows a four-player Ambrose format with a 1pm shotgun start. Teams of four can enjoy 18 holes of golf, a barbecue lunch, snacks on course, buffet dinner and green fees, all included in the entry price. With spaces limited to just 30 teams, organisers are encouraging players to secure their place early.

The event is also an excellent networking opportunity for local businesses, with sponsorship opportunities available for companies wanting to put their brand in front of more than 100 players. Expect a memorable day where the fairway meets the funway, all in support of youth excellence in our community.
