Takapuna Business Association's recent networking evening, hosted by Benefitz, was held at Regatta Bar and Eatery on Wednesday 24 June. The incredible Jono Ridler was the special guest speaker who chatted with Terence Harpur about his recent achievement, mental strategies and environmental protection. He recently undertook another epic swim, swimming the length of the North Island from North Cape to Wellington - a 1,400-kilometre swim that took around 90 days to complete. It is the longest, unassisted staged swim in history, undertaken by Jono to call on our political leaders to end the antiquated and destructive fishing practice of bottom trawling in New Zealand. It was a fantastic night of inspiring discussion, and a great opportunity to connect with fellow business owners over drinks and canapés.
